What's the deal?
Unlike the other 100% deals on the market, you do not have to currently be in rented accommodation in order to qualify for the 99% mortgage deals. However, there are other criteria you will need to meet.
- Minimum Purchase Price £100,000
- Must have a minimum of £5,000 deposit.
- Loan-to-Value should be between 95.01 and 99%
- Only 1 applicant needs to be a First-Time-Buyer
Example
In the past, if you wanted to buy a £200,000 property, you'd need at least a 5% deposit, costing you £10,000. Now, you can use a £5,000 deposit and buy the same property with a £195,000 mortgage (97.50% Loan-to-Value).
